Further services

Depending on requirements, we offer our customers additional services relating to their documentation, for example:

Technical drawings

Technical drawings are required for various areas in which accuracy and correct dimensioning and designation of components are important in order to minimize risks due to incorrect use or assembly.

Depending on what is to be displayed, 3D representations, two-dimensional sections or projections or exploded views are suitable.

We use the following software tools for processing:

  • AutoCAD Mechanical for technical drawings
  • SolidWorks and for 3D graphics

Raw data from other programs can usually be integrated without errors.

Our services in the field of technical drawings

  • Editing and updating technical drawings
  • Editing and updating 3D graphics
  • Creation and derivation of suitable views (e.g. for assembly steps, parts lists, spare parts catalogs)

Info and utility graphics

Overviews and infographics provide an indispensable service in instructions and technical documentation. Photos and perspective illustrations with appropriate component designations help with orientation. Suitable drawings can be used to illustrate action steps, including non-verbal instructions.

We use the following software tools for processing:

  • Adobe Photoshop for photographs
  • Adobe Illustrator for vector graphics
  • SolidWorks for 3D graphics

Raw data from other programs can usually be integrated without errors.

Our services in the field of information and commercial graphics

  • Creation of thematic overviews (e.g. danger zones, safety signs, etc.)
  • Preparation and editing of photographs for documentation and instructions
  • Creating and editing drawings for instructions and non-verbal instructions

Translation coordination

Manufacturers are obliged to provide user information in the language of the countries in which they sell their product. The translation effort can be a considerable cost factor. However, thanks to the modular structure of instructions in our Schema ST4 editing system, only those parts of the text that have not yet been translated need to be extracted. This saves considerable translation costs for variants and updates.

We also coordinate the translation of instructions in other formats and ensure high standards of terminology management and legal certainty.

Our translation coordination services

  • Coordination of translations in technical documentation
  • Extraction of filtered passages for translation in amended instructions
  • Creation and checking of terminology

Approval procedure

The purpose of the law is to protect people, animals and the environment from harmful environmental impacts caused by machinery and equipment. Harmful emissions include, for example, air pollution, noise, light and radiation. These should be avoided as far as possible or must not exceed clearly defined guideline values. The BImSchG forms the legal basis for this.

Approval is always required if a new system to be tested is to be put into operation or if a technical change is planned to an already approved system. In both cases, ED-Technik GmbH will be happy to advise you on the procedure and support you in checking the requirements, preparing the application and carrying out the approval procedure.

  • Preparation and monitoring of the process
  • Compilation and preparation of all relevant documents
  • Describing the machines and systems in accordance with the requirements
  • Communication with the approval authorities
